This introductory workshop explores the ethical use of artificial intelligence in ceratin creative processes in animation. This session introduces a range of AI tools from imbedded tools in Adobe Photoshop to stand alone Large Language Models like ChatGPT. Participants will learn how these tools are being integrated into workflows to boost productivity, spark new ideas, and streamline post-production. Whether you're curious about using AI ethically to assist your creative or looking to stay ahead of the curve, this workshop offers a practical and inspiring entry point into the evolving world of AI in media production.

This is a beginner-friendly introduction to 3D modeling in Maya, designed to help new artists get comfortable in a professional 3D workflow from day one. In this online workshop, participants are guided step by step through the core tools and interface of Maya by Autodesk, learning how to create, shape, and refine basic 3D forms into clean, well-structured objects.

Cartoon Saturday is a fun and immersive special workshop designed to introduce students to the art of animation using Adobe Animate. Designed as a repeatable learning experience, this encore workshop can be taken multiple times using new work each session. Held over five engaging 4-hour sessions (including a lunch break), this 20-hour program guides participants through the fundamentals of creating original animated cartoons. From concept and character design to motion, timing, and storytelling, students will learn how to bring their drawings to life using key animation principles.

This hands-on online workshop guides artists, illustrators, and curious creatives through the process of designing original creatures from imagination to polished artwork using adobe photoshop. Participants will learn how to combine photo textures, digital painting techniques, lighting, color grading, and custom brushes to build believable skin, fur, scales, and other organic details, while also exploring shape language to give their creations personality and mood. The workshop gives practical techniques students can apply to fantasy art, character design, and concept illustration projects.

Students will learn how to take original characters and develop them into unique and memorable designs using Photoshop. Students will explore gesture, posing, anatomy, and composition to create compelling character concepts. This course– a must for aspiring animation artists– focuses on shape language, silhouette, and storytelling through design

Design and animate characters and environments using Adobe Animate software. Intermediate students can work on personal animation projects and shorts in a collaborative environment. This very popular class gives students an overview of the Animate software and the animation process. Students should have some prior familiarity with the Adobe Animate software.

This hands-on workshop using Adobe Photoshop introduces the fundamentals of pixel art, a beloved digital art style rooted in classic video games and now thriving in modern design, illustration, and indie game development. Participants will learn how to think like a pixel artist: simplifying forms, mastering color palettes, and using light, shading, and composition to create detailed visuals at a miniature scale. Through guided exercises and creative prompts, you'll design your own sprite or small scene while discovering techniques professionals use to make pixel art feel alive and dynamic.

Attendees will learn essential storytelling principles, including structure, dialogue, and pacing, with a focus on the unique constraints and opportunities of short-form narratives. The session covers brainstorming techniques, formatting guidelines, and script analysis to help writers refine their ideas into engaging short screenplays. Through hands-on exercises and feedback, participants will develop a first draft short script for an impactful and visually driven short animated or live action project.

Immerse yourself in the art of editing and the language of visual storytelling. This workshop demonstrates foundational theories of picture editing as students create, combine, and manipulate various audio clips and images into an impactful story. This workshop is great for beginners as it focuses on fundamentals using Adobe Premiere Pro and using multiple tracks and audio in a non-linear timeline.

This introductory workshop in audio editing and sound design explores essential techniques for enhancing sound quality of creative projects. Participants will learn how to edit sound effects, and add background music, ensuring seamless integration with visual content. Through hands-on exercises, the workshop covers key skills, layering audio tracks, and applying effects to create immersive soundscapes to make your projects more engaging and professional.

This workshop offers the opportunity for students to create, combine, and manipulate various visual and audio clips into a story or message of their choosing. This workshop is great for beginners as it focuses on fundamentals using Adobe Premiere, but can also be used for intermediate creation for platforms like Youtube.
