This Giving Tuesday, Support Students and Artists on the Autism Spectrum

When families search for an autism nonprofit with meaningful programs, Exceptional Minds stands out. We are a community where artists on the autism spectrum discover their creative potential, build professional skills, and gain the confidence to enter the entertainment industry.

Traditional education and work environments can feel limiting and inaccessible for students on the spectrum, which is why arts programs like ours are so important. At Exceptional Minds, students begin in our Academy, learning digital arts skills from visual effects to animation. They are given social/emotional and career development support. They then move into paid, professional projects through our VFX and Animation Studios, gaining real-world experience while sharpening technical and collaboration skills.

Our Alumni leave the Academy with portfolios that showcase their talent, preparation for the workforce, and the confidence to pursue meaningful careers. Alumni have worked with companies like CBS Sports, Disney, Mattel, Paramount, and other major studios. Every studio project shows the creativity and professionalism our artists bring to the entertainment industry. Talent, dedication and reliability are their hallmarks.

Our Year in Review for FY25 highlights how students mastered new skills, completed studio projects for high-profile clients, and grew in confidence and independence. Some of the year’s highlights include:

  • Graduates building robust portfolios that opened doors to careers in major entertainment companies
  • Repeat partnerships with studios that value the talent and reliability of our students and artists
  • Expansion of both the Academy and Studio programs, providing more opportunities for hands-on professional experience
  • Strengthened community connections for students, families, alumni, and industry partners

Exceptional Minds is also a hub for connection. Families and our students and graduated artists join a supportive community that values creativity, professional growth, and neurodiversity. This environment is why we are recognized as a leading school specialized for students on the spectrum and a trusted partner for studios seeking talented artists.

With Giving Tuesday approaching, please make a gift to help us expand programs, provide scholarships, and give our students and artists the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Even a small gift creates opportunities for them to gain skills, confidence, and professional experience.
